A new oil field was discovered in Việt Nam’s continental shelf by the Russia- Việt Nam oil and gas exploration joint venture, Vietsovpetro, on November 30, 2016.
Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Company Limited (BSR) signed a
contract on August 28 with UK-based Amec Foster Wheeler Energy Limited
to assist in the Dung Quat Oil Refinery expansion project.

Vietsovpetro, a joint Vietnamese-Russian enterprise for oil and gas
exploration, aims to complete the installation of the Tho Trang 01
(White Rabbit 01) oil rig at the beginning of July.
